Calling all YOU-th!!! YOU-th!!! YOU-th!!!
Love Chapel UMC offers a great, new youth program called "JCP" - "Jesus Christ's Posse"
open to all youth attending 6th-12th grades. Our goal is to live out our mission statement:
"To experience God's presence in our lives with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength as we
worship Him through all that we are and do.

Our energetic group meets Wednesday nights from 6-8:00 during which we have offer small
groups, prayer time, short dramas/skits, fun game time, and of course, snacks! We currently
have an active attendance of 15-20 youth involved in weekly meetings, local and state mission
trips, fun outings, and overnight retreats. As "Love's Helping Hands", we are always on call to
help out any member of our congregation as needed.

Missions - Yearly participation in W.O.C., quarterly participation in the Plain Dealing area,
helping out Haughton's A.C.T.I.O.N. unit and a May '09 New Orleans Recovery trip.

Retreats - Winter Blast at the Lake Claiborne cabins, a spring canoe trip, and a Summer
Beach Blowout.
We strive to live out Christ's example of helping others while having fun doing it.
JCP's do participate in FUNdraisers using the money to offset the cost of our
retreats and supporting our many missions. We use a youth council format which
consists of our youth leader, La Donna Sullivan, 2 additional adults, and three active
youth members. The youth serve in a leadership position for a time period of three
months during which they vote on upcoming activities.
Come check us out any Wednesday night and and see for yourself what God is doing
in the lives of the youth of Love Chapel UMC. Come make life-lasting friendships and
